Match Report
Our first visit to Nutfield finished in a disappointing draw, with our hosts reluctant to chase a target of 207 for victory. Satellite navigation problems meant that several of our players spent a morning with Rupert the Bear in Nutwood, before eventually finding the idyllic ground. Signs were ominous when Timmo was bowled offering very little at the first ball of the day. After initially struggling The Big Oz found the cosy confines of Nuffield to his liking and stroked his way to a fine 99 (or was it 105). Debutant Chand showed signs of what was to come with an enterprising knock and some very audible chirping. The watching gallery shared their heartfelt compassion with Rich, when he was out, greeting his dismissal with 'girlie squeals' of upset. Things took a turn for the worse after tea, as Nutfield seemed content to play out time and the Harvey's ran out.
