Match Report
Crusaders made full use of all twelve men at their disposal to record a last gasp win at Catford. Danglers neglected to inform Spud that he had taken over team selection this week, which led to the appearance of an extra player in the slightly portly frame of Darkie Paine. Catford hastily agreed to find another player and then set us a very gettable 167 from their 40 overs. Despite a solid opening stand between Moysey and Alan, we were reminded of the good old days when our middle order engine room regularly flooded. Wajih, Darkie (should have stayed at home) and TC all contributed absolutely nothing. Grant steadied the ailing vessel, but it was ultimately left to the last pair of Goulash and WOW (Wise old West Indian) to conjure victory off the last ball of the game.
