Match Report
With neither Moysey nor Spud available, the club welcomed back former skipper Billy 'the lip' Webb to oversee our visit to the Old Boys. Always a skipper for taking-the game-to the wire, Bill disappointed none, with victory achieved by two wickets in the final over. Earlier in the day Simon Burr had returned club best figures of 5-37 and Gordy a very wily 4-32 to restrict our host to a seemingly inadequate 149 all out at tea. Our response appeared to be progressing nicely at 83 for 2, until Smoking Gun Reynolds shot down the middle order with some trigger happy umpiring. Fortunately Matt Sully (taking time out from the trick-shot golf circuit) was able to steer us home with the help of Cousin Glen.
