Match Report
The late withdrawal of The Parkers meant a hastily arranged Bureau fixture, ironically against Pinewoods (the club from whose loins Crusaders sprang). Crusaders were far too strong for our visitors, rattling up a commanding 195 for 6 at tea. Richard added another fifty in putting on 124 for the first wicket with Alan, who also registered a half-century. Pinewoods set their stall out to avoid defeat and despite attacking throughout we were only able to winkle nine wickets. Rupinder made a welcome return to the side, bowling twelve overs for only eleven runs. Moment of the day fell to Vinnie whose deliberate attempt to drop a catch and extend the stay of their very junior player resulted in the ball lodging in his groin area for an unlikely dismissal.
