Match Report
Crusaders batted steadily if unspectacularly to set Dartford a target of 130 for victory at the pleasant Joyce Green Hospital Ground. On a pitch that was two paced, fluent run scoring proved difficult, with the majority of the side (except Jim) getting in but failing to build on a start. Dartford sent down 46 overs with Walton and Ring particularly miserly with the ball and this set up the game nicely, with our strength normally in the bowling department. With good bowling throughout Crusaders matched Dartford’s over rate, with Darren and Silver Fox ensuring that our hosts found run scoring equally tough. Moysey with 3-18 and Spud 3-27 were principal wicket takers and when stumps were drawn Dartford were 8 down and 8 runs short.
