Match Report
On a day best forgotten Crusaders slipped to a first ever defeat to The Parkers. A rank bad batting display and some casual captaincy made The Parkers task of overhauling a paltry target of 138 all the more easy. Only Neil Clark (40) offered any resistance as too many batsmen were not prepared to apply themselves on a tricky surface.
Westcombe Parkers were able to build momentum unchecked, with neither Jim nor Spud able to make inroads into the Parkers batting order. Bill seemed content to let the game drift, perhaps in the misguided belief that Westcombe would push the self destruct button and did not introduce Moysey into the attack until the sixteenth over; by this time Cameron had carved his way to 49. Darren was immediately in the wickets, but it was all too little too late, as our hosts cantered to a five wicket victory with overs to spare, guided home by a fine 25 from the Secret Lemonade Drinker.
