Match Report
A game at Edenbridge without rain! The toss was lost and we were asked to bat and with Steve Lewis a late arrival, Bill wielded his power by pushing Spud up to opener. On a tricky pitch with an outfield that had not seen a mower any time recently I am not sure who was being punished, but it made little difference to the amount of time that Steve had to wait to get to the crease. The top order soon evaporated and but for a stand of 65 between Jim and the Large Arsed Miscreant we would have struggled to post a competitive target.
Set 134 for victory The Fox and Danglers (9-5 -5 -3) took three wickets each in the opening twenty overs, ensuring that Edenbridge harboured only hopes of the draw. Despite two late wickets for Spud, our hosts hung on at 76-8 when stumps were drawn.
