Match Report
Having umpired the other Semi, the skip was in no doubt he had sufficient ammunition to gun down our opponents, The Army, in the Final. The only problem we now faced was the delay before the game, which caused inebriation to set in to a few of our players. Old B'stard turned up in time for the final sniffing for a medal, so we went out to bat at full strength. No complaints about the start made by Daz and Lee Crowson (Young Chicken picked up by GT) as we raced to 34 before Skinny missed one. The runs dried up a bit with the arrival of the two heavyweights Gibbo and Sumo, but once again Glen played a series of outrageous slogs and with late assistance from the skip took the final score through to 97-6. Even with GT trying to throw the game with a two over spell of complete shite, The Army were never any match and once again Kev had the best return with 2-10. Neil’s affinity for the Armed Forces was on show with a pathetic display of patter cake behind the stumps, Glenn took time off from fondling Lees botty to run out the opener and all in all it was too easy. Spud was presented with the cup and Darkie sulked cos there were no medals.

Dear Steve
First of all congratulations on winning the Trophy; a great effort and patience finally rewarded – but take great care of it, the Westcombe Parkers are determined to get it back next year
Many thanks to your lads and lasses for participating in the event; our efforts on the day raised an amazing £550 with more to come.
I hope the teams and families enjoyed the day and that the lunch and tea met your expectations.
With best wishes for a successful season and look forward to meeting you in 1991.
Yours Sincerely
Les Dodson
